Empowering and

educating the local

community.

In Q1 2024, Saira Hospitality and Mobile Comunidad are creating a first-of-its-kind Hospitality Academy in Far West Texas. Aimed at empowering and educating the local community, our hospitality academy will teach essential, hospitality-focused life skills that improve communication, emotional intelligence and leadership skills.

Together, we are also incorporating Cornell University’s E-Cornell program, ensuring every learner graduates with a recognized certification in “Service Excellence”.

After graduating the program, our learners will be matched with local hotels who are seeing new talent in various front and back of house roles.

Social Determinants of Health are the conditions in the places where people live, learn, work, play, and worship that affect a wide range of health risks and outcomes. Long-standing inequities in six key areas of social determinants of health are interrelated and influence a wide range of health and quality-of-life risks and outcomes.
Social & Community
Healthcare Access & Use
Neighborhood & Physical Environment
Workplace Conditions
Education
Income & Wealth Gaps

Examining these layered health and social inequities can help Mobile Comunidad better understand how to promote health equity and improve health outcomes.

How are we able to make this possible? Through our generous donors.
